Oxford #RaspberryJam Report from DesignSpark

Although I attend the Milton Keynes Raspberry Jam regularly, I like to keep an eye out for reports from other Jams. This one:

Oxford Raspberry Jam – Jan 2013 » DesignSpark

is particularly interesting as it contains details of several projects including:

  • Raspberry Pi Photobooth
  • Pi-powered 3D RepRap printer
  • RaspIO – a prototype input/output expansion board, particularly aimed at the education market.
  • A hacked IM-me device working as a wireless console terminal device.
  • A Solenoid Sequencer as an electronic drum machine.

Automatic TV volume adjuster with an #Arduino

I daresay that this can be done with a Raspberry Pi as well, or it can be connected to an XBMC media centre running on the Pi, so I’m featuring it here.

This is an Instructable on creating an Arduino device that detects the volume level of a television and then automatically issues infra-red signals to turn the volume up or down.

Read the Instructable here. Let me know if you get it working with a Pi!
