Eavesdropping lamp uses a #RaspberryPi to tweet private conversations

I’m mentioning this one only out of interest, rather than any encouragement to recreate it. Kyle McDonald and Brian House have created Conversnitch, a device built for less than $100 that looks like a lamp. It listens to nearby conversations, transcribes the audio and then posts snippets of it to Twitter. You can read more on the Wired website and follow the Conversnitch on Twitter.
