Alex Ellis has written a lovely bare-bones tutorial over on GitHub that uses a Zumo robot kit and the Explorer pHAT, together with a Pi Zero, to create a robot that is sub-A6, which is the size you need to be to battle it out in Micro Pi Noon. You can read the tutorial over at GitHub.
