Fuze case has a retro appeal and practicality for #RaspberryPi hobbyists

Aylesbury-based manufacturer Binary Distribution has created a case reminiscent of the 1980s. It has a built in keyboard (which is apparently not comfortable to use… a bit of a downer) but the aesthetics are very attractive.

The best thing for hobbyists is that it has a built-in GPIO breakout and 640-hole solderless breadboard making it highly practical and tinkerable (which I know isn’t a word).

Fifth #RaspberryPi balloon launch with Dave Akerman this Saturday

On Saturday morning, Dave Akerman will be launching PIE5 – a model A Raspberry Pi hanging from a weather balloon. These are great events as you can follow them online. This balloon is planned to travel across Europe and take in Holland, Germany and Poland on a 24-hour trip.
