Phil has taken a nice big arcade button and hooked it up to the GPIO so that when he presses the button it shuts down his Pi. Read more here.

Here’s a nice piece over on the Adafruit site about the design and manufacture of their popular Pi case. They cover initial design, prototype printing and finally the creation of the injection mould to produce the product. As the son of a man who used to make these moulds, the process is fascinating. Arun Gupta has been investigating a way to run the lightweight Java application server Wildfly on the Pi. He’s now posted up a tutorial on installing an OS on the Pi and then installing Wildfly itself. Well worth a look if you’re interested in Java development on the Pi. Read more here.
