Beautiful laser cut finger-jointed Model A case by Btcrafts

These have just come on sale on Etsy – wooden cases for the Raspberry Pi Model A.

These are really nice-looking cases made out of birch plywood and require no glue or screws to put together – the teeth just lock together. It has slots for all the ports and also vents for cooling. Not bad for about £10-12. You can buy them from Bitcrafts here

#RaspberryPi camera module time lapse

I found a way to join all the snapshots from the camera module together to create this video. I used the following command to do it:

mencoder “mf://*.jpg” -mf fps=10 -o test.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2:vbitrate=800

Lin Jojen has written a tutorial on how to play HTML5 and YouTube videos on the Raspberry Pi. However, please be aware that several of the comments on the blog post indicate that the method isn’t always successful. Read more here
