The book, which <a href=\"http:\/\/178.62.14.192\/?p=7960\">received a 10\/10 rating from me a little while ago<\/a>, helps you get set-up with your Pi and then contains tons of experiments and projects. The book builds upon the knowledge you gain from each chapter to give you a truly enjoyable, but educational, experience of programming and hacking.<\/p>\n<p>The kit includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Raspberry Pi Model B<\/li>\n<li>A Cyntech case<\/li>\n<li>An 8GB SD card with NOOBS pre-loaded on it<\/li>\n<li>The official Raspberry Pi Hub<\/li>\n<li>HDMI lead<\/li>\n<li>USB keyboard &amp; mouse<\/li>\n<li>The Adventures in Raspberry Pi book<\/li>\n<li>A breadboard, wires and an LCD display, all that is needed to do the projects in the book (except a speaker\/headphones)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cpc.farnell.com\/raspberry-pi\/rpi-b-kit-ucreate-advpi\/kit-adventures-in-raspberry-pi\/dp\/SC1337667\">You can pick the kit up for just shy of \u00a3100<\/a> and it&#8217;s great value, especially if you don&#8217;t happen to have a spare keyboard, mouse or SD card. It comes in a nice big box! You can\u00a0<em>probably<\/em> pick everything up for a little less if you shop around but it&#8217;s a great package and easily eclipses <a href=\"http:\/\/cpc.farnell.com\/raspberry-pi\/rpi-b-kit-ucreate2\/raspberry-pi-b-ucreate-edu-kit\/dp\/SC1337067\">their other, identically priced, package that uses different books<\/a>\u00a0just by virtue of using Carrie Anne&#8217;s book and ensuring that you have all the components you need.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re just starting out and you need a Pi, I heartily recommend this kit (or shopping around for the same parts!).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Those of us lucky enough to be at the Raspberry Jamboree caught sight of this on the CPC stand.
