The Pi reaches it’s 2nd Birthday today… Okay, not today exactly as it was launched on 29th February 2012, but close enough!<\/p>\n
The Pi has become very important in my life. It has changed the way I think about electronics and shaped what I do in the majority of my free time. When I’m not soldering up something new, or programming in Python, I am organising the Cambridge Raspberry Jam. Organising the Jams, with Tim Richardson (@geeky_tim), has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life and I hope it continues for some time. It’s enabled me to meet up with like-minded people and, more importantly, to help children learn programming and electronics. The next one is on 10th May and I know it will be an enormous achievement to get it organised in time so that it’s a success. But I’m confident that we’ll be able to do it with the small army of helpers and planners we’ve got behind us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
