Here&#8217;s a nice 3D printed enclosure for the Raspberry Pi from Paul-Louis Ageneau. It features two bays for hard drives that slide in, together with USB adapters. USB cables then connect the drives up to the Pi&#8217;s USB ports and you have a rudimentary NAS. Admittedly, you&#8217;ve still got the USB bottleneck to contend with but, if speed isn&#8217;t everything to you, it&#8217;s a nice solution.
