This will mostly be a software project with some tinkering thrown in.<\/p>\n<p>Items in the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px;\">XBox Live webcam modified for low light (See\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/stargazerslounge.com\/topic\/131246-xbox-livecam-mod-cliff\/\">Xbox Livecam Mod (Cliff) &#8211; DIY Astronomer &#8211; Stargazers Lounge<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>BOINC time-sharing application &#8211; use idle time to help map the night sky (See <a href=\"http:\/\/burdeview.blogspot.co.uk\/p\/raspberry-pi-boinc-project-ive-created.html\">BurdeView<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Light sensor (part of the PiPodCorder project &#8211; I may just use part of that rig).<\/li>\n<li>Desktop software to help with astronomy in general.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;m likely to add things as I go along, but this is just the start. Not sure how I&#8217;ll demo the night sky stuff at a Jam, but hopefully by the time March&#8217;s Jam springs around I&#8217;ll have taken a few images and have a portfolio to show!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve always loved astronomy &#8211; this will be the chance to dust off the telescope and re-kindle my enthusiasm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is just to announce my new project &#8211; SpacePi.
