The system uses <a href=\"http:\/\/www.z-wave.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Z-Wave<\/a> door sensors which send MQTT messages to the Pi via the <a href=\"https:\/\/home-assistant.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Assistant<\/a>\u00a0open-source home automation platform. The PIR sensor is used to only activate the screen when someone is near &#8211; thus further reducing the power requirements.
