However, he wanted to run it inside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virtualbox.org\/wiki\/Downloads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VirtualBox<\/a> on his Windows 10 PC to save having to have another machine with just Raspbian running on it. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aoakley.com\/articles\/2017-07-04-raspbian-x86-virtualbox.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He&#8217;s written up the method for doing it on his blog<\/a>. He does point out the limitation of such a set-up (such as lack of GPIO pins and that it&#8217;s running on an x86 processor, not an ARM) but it&#8217;s well worth a look if you want to use Raspbian.<\/p>\n<p><em>Update:<\/em> From the comments, Andrew Oakley has managed to get the <a href=\"https:\/\/ryanteck.uk\/electronics\/166-rtkgpio.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ryanteck RTk.GPIO<\/a> working with the VirtualBox install!
