German inventor\u00a0Johannes Jaegers took inspiration from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rapiro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">the Rapiro project<\/a>\u00a0but instead of an Arduino core, he used a Pi running <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ros.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ROS, the Robot Operating System<\/a>. The robot features a metal skeleton and 3D-printed parts together with a custom circuit board to power the Pi and control the 17 individual servos from a battery.
