You can catch the launch video below or skip it and read about the contents of the kit a bit further down the page:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CamJam10 CamJam Edukit 3 Announcement - Michael Horne Tim Richardson Jamie Mann\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zdD-GorofhA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The EduKit price has now been fixed at \u00a317 plus delivery (which, for The Pi Hut, is \u00a32) bringing the EduKit in under \u00a320 (delivered) as promised. The\u00a0EduKit, <strong>which doesn&#8217;t require any soldering<\/strong>, includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two red wheels.<\/li>\n<li>Two DC motors with pre-soldered wires (shrink-wrapped for protection and sturdiness).<\/li>\n<li>Battery holder (you need 4 x AA batteries to power the motors).<\/li>\n<li>Ball-caster &#8220;third wheel&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-soldered motor controller board with GPIOs broken out onto female headers (thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.4tronix.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">4tronix<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Line follower sensor.<\/li>\n<li>Ultrasonic distance sensor (SR-04).<\/li>\n<li>Jumper wires to hook up the sensors.<\/li>\n<li>and a sturdy two-part cardboard box to keep it all in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is expected that the EduKit will be available during <strong>October-November<\/strong> and will, of course, be accompanied by more of Tim&#8217;s excellent worksheets.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re really proud of this EduKit as it represents the lowest-cost robotics kit out there (as far as we can tell!). It doesn&#8217;t come with a plastic chassis like other kits. Instead,\u00a0there is the expectation that people will use their imagination to come up with a solution to hold everything together.
