He has a dream: an underwater Raspberry Pi-powered remote controlled vehicle. The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Remotely_operated_underwater_vehicle\" target=\"_blank\">ROV<\/a> is tethered to the surface via a cable and signals are sent down it to a Raspberry Pi which controls the motors. Video from a\u00a0camera controlled by an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hardkernel.com\/main\/products\/prdt_info.php?g_code=G141578608433\" target=\"_blank\">ODROID C1<\/a> board (this may change now that the beefier Pi 2 is available) is sent back up the tether.<\/p>\n<p>In order to take the project further, Sam is looking for funding via the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/8z4vcey58\" target=\"_blank\">gofundme.com<\/a>. This will give him the money he needs to run further tests on the ROV and develop it into a fully-working system capable of going to depths of up to 300m.
