In Cat&#8217;s own words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Coding Evenings are an opportunity for teachers, Raspberry Pi enthusiasts and Code Club\/Coder Dojo volunteers to come together to discuss the new computing curriculum in an informal and friendly environment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On <strong>Thursday 15th October<\/strong>, a very special event will take place at <strong>Mozilla HQ in London<\/strong>. To coincide with Code Week EU, this\u00a0has the potential to be a much larger event. Back to Cat:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We get a large range of people who come along &#8211; very often we have teachers who are complete beginners and have no idea of how to teach the coding side of the new curriculum and this is an excellent opportunity for them to discuss their ideas and gain some confidence by trying things out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, if you&#8217;re a teacher, or are interested in helping teachers with technology, get yourself along to <strong>Mozilla HQ near Leicester Square on 15th October from 6.30-9.30pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Other\u00a0Coding Evenings<\/h3>\n<p>I should also mention a couple of other events that are happening sooner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/coding-evening-peterborough-tickets-17743445122?aff=es2\" target=\"_blank\">On\u00a0Tuesday 22nd September, there is a Coding Evening in Peterborough<\/a> run by Hannah Mills.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/twickenham-coding-evening-september-tickets-17679889024\" target=\"_blank\">On Thursday 24th September, there is a Coding Evening in Twickenham<\/a> run by Cat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Created\u00a0by teacher Cat Lamin, Coding Evenings are a great way to get teachers in touch with other teachers and technology experts.
