He has developed a Raspberry Pi weather station board and peripherals that will allow schools to become part of a National network of weather stations.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.raspberrypi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Weather-HAT-labels-500x355.png?resize=309%2C229\" alt=\"\" width=\"309\" height=\"229\" \/>He has just announced <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/school-weather-station-project\/\" target=\"_blank\">on the Raspberry Pi blog<\/a> that applications for one of the 1,000 units that have been made are now open. You just need to be part of a school that will\u00a0use the weather station and set it up!<\/p>\n<p>You can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/school-weather-station-project\/\" target=\"_blank\">find out more from their blog post here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/weather-station\/\" target=\"_blank\">apply to be part of the programme here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are in a school, I urge you to apply for a weather station and take part in this great initiative.
