It starts off with the Flotilla dock which plugs into one of the Pi&#8217;s USB ports and then gives you a further 8 custom ports into which you can plug their modules.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ksr\/assets\/003\/144\/340\/57334697e11c6d3c62e119f08a034793_large.jpg?resize=560%2C328&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"328\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You then program the dock\u00a0using an easy-to-use web development kit or, if you prefer to get your hands a bit mucky, you can use their Python library.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ksr\/assets\/003\/144\/323\/a02b174b2697f6c35196a1e3669fe40e_large.jpg?resize=560%2C363&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"363\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are a number of modules you can plug in such as an accelerometer, a light sensor, a colour detector, an LED matrix, a slider, and a whole host of others.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s3.amazonaws.com\/ksr\/assets\/003\/148\/403\/590df267f48e6f6d97d8a283e6b990ae_large.jpg?resize=560%2C354&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"354\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ve clearly\u00a0used their imagination for this product and the attention to detail is very encouraging. I saw an alpha version\u00a0of the kit at the Raspberry Pi Foundation&#8230;\u00a0oh, many months ago now and it was looking promising then, even with much work to do. They&#8217;ve clearly used the time to come up with a tremendously polished product.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve backed it already and I hope you will too. The Earlybird prices are currently starting at \u00a329 delivered for the small kit and currently go up to \u00a3114 for the full &#8220;Mega Treasure Chest&#8221; which comes with what looks like all the plug-in modules.
