A group of researchers from Symantec took a Raspberry Pi, added a bluetooth receiver and then snooped on the data being broadcast from bluetooth-enabled wearable devices. The researchers went to busy public places in Switzerland and Ireland to see what data they could find and were amazed at the sheer volume being leaked out. They didn’t try and connect to any of the devices, just listened in on what they broadcast.
