Pyrite sun discs used to create music on the Raspberry Pi

Dmitry Morozov is a Russian “media artist” and has created this wonderful piece of artwork. Using a custom laser set-up, he scans the discs of pyrite, produced on this planet seemingly only in Illinois, and then sends the data through to the Raspberry Pi which filters and transforms it into a sound wave, which is played through a speaker.
